Horse Boarding at Dusty Chaps Farm
Dusty Chaps Farm is a full care boarding facility. As a precaution, we require all new horses to have a negative coggins and a current vaccination record on file prior to arrival. While all boarders are welcome to use their own equine medical and farrier professionals, we have our own trusted and experienced professionals that are available to you if you wish to use them. As horse owners ourselves, we believe that kindness should take a front seat at our facility. All horses that are boarded at Dusty Chaps Farm will receive the same treatment and individual attention that our own horses do. Every horse is given hay, grain and fresh water daily. If the weather permits, all horses are turned out on a daily basis (unless instructed differently by the horse's owner).

In addition to full care boarding, we also offer some additional services at reasonable prices which include grooming services, exercise (lunging) and exercising (riding). All exercise sessions are available only when weather permits.

Grooming

We offer a few different grooming options for all of our boarders. At your request, we can groom your horse daily, 3 days a week or 2 days a week. The grooming service involves a thorough brushing of the horse (including mane and tail), picking out the hooves and maintaining a bridle path (if applicable).

Exercise (Lunging)

Keeping a horse in shape is important for any horse. Especially yours if you intend to ride regularly or semi-regularly. As an additional service, we will lunge your horse for you. Lunging session times are in 15 minute increments from 15 minutes to 45 minutes. All lunging sessions include having the horse's hooves picked out prior to lunging. All horses are put through proper warm-up cool down techniques whenever possible.

Exercising (Riding)

While we do not train horses, we will ride your horse in order for it to receive exercise when you are not able to do so. This service will be tailored to the needs and wants of the horse and owner. Our riding sessions are done in half hour (1/2) sessions or one hour sessions. These riding sessions are seperate from our riding lessons. All exercise (riding) sessions include having the horse's hooves picked out prior to riding. All horses are put through proper warm-up cool down techniques whenever possible.
