Riding Lessons at Dusty Chaps Farm

It is very important to wear the appropriate attire while riding. Please make sure that you or your rider wear long pants, boots with a short heel and a helmet. Skating or bicycle helmets are not recommended by Dusty Chaps Farm. Also make sure that you or your rider is dressed appropriately for the weather conditions the day that you ride.
Dusty Chaps Farm offers private English and/or Western riding lesson (ages 5 and up) for boarders and non-boarders alike. Occasionally upon special request, we will come to your farm for lessons. In addition to learning to ride, all students will learn how to care for a horse. This includes grooming and learning how to properly prepare to ride a horse. Learning how to prepare for a ride includes teaching the proper way to saddle and bridle a horse.

All riders will learn proper riding techniques to ensure safety for both the rider and horse. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves and the horse by introducing obsatcles, patterns and games into the lessons.

All lessons are an hour long. For the younger and/or inexperienced rider, we can offer a half hour session upon special request.

**** Due to weather and ground conditions on any given day, a lesson may be cancelled or rescheduled by Dusty Chaps Farm, parent or guardian of a student. Dusty Chaps Farm asks that all cancellations be done with as mush notice as possible. Dusty Chaps Farm will also give as much notice in the event we need to cancel or reschedule. If for some reason a student or parent/guardian of a student needs to cancel or reschedule for anything other than weather, please give as much notice as possible. Numereous "no call/no show" occurances may result in your regular lesson time being given to someone else, loss of priority scheduling or additional fees.****
