Tack Sanitizing

Ozone sanitization is a waterless, chemical-free, heat-free process which allows equipment to remain in its original state.  Equipment isn’t cheap.  Why not protect your investment?  After sanitizing, equipment can be used immediately.  No dampness. No smell.  If anything, equipment may smell like the air after a spring rainfall.

What Can We Sanitize?

  • Horse or Rider Clothing
  • Horse blankets/coolers/hoods
  • Halters/Lead Ropes
  • Fly sheets/masks
  • Leg wraps/polos
  • Boots (hoof or leg boots), Riding boots
  • Girths/Cinches
  • Saddle Pads
  • Helmets/Hats/Covers/Gloves
  • Grooming Equipment (brushes, curries, picks, combs)
  • Training Equipment (lounge lines, surcingles, crops,)

Cost

$25 per cycle/load

If you have a large quantity that requires more than 2 loads, pay for 2 loads and get the third load free!

Money saving tips:  If you don’t have a lot of equipment to sanitize, share your cycle with a friend and share the cost of the cycle.

Technology at Work!

High powered UV lights are used to turn oxygen into ozone (O3).  Ozone is then circulated through the equipment killing the bacteria.  Ozone is a gas that is formed from taking Oxygen and adding an additional atom of Oxygen to it.  It’s the same ozone that is high in our atmosphere.  It kills bacteria and many viruses without leaving any residue or smell.

Certified Effectiveness Against

Bacterial Strains:

Staphylococous aureus

Staphylococous aureus MRSA

An optional anti-bacterial spray (in cherry scent) may be applied to your equipment (at your request) after sanitization.  No extra charge.

Equipment should be dry and all mud/manure scraped off before sanitizing.

Benefits Of Using Ozone To Sanitize Your Equipment

Horse and Rider Clothing, Blankets, Coolers, Hoods

Horse and rider clothing can be ruined with repeat washing.  The manufacturers often place a repellent finish on blankets, sheets, and coats to give us “waterproof”or “water resistant” products. Washing breaks down fabric bound finishes leaving horsemen and women with something worse than no blanket or coat, a soaked garment in cold weather!  Sanitize before packing up your blankets for the summer to prevent mold and bacteria from growing.  The summer heat can otherwise bake in the ammonia and stains and ultimately weaken the fabric.  No Fading, No Shrinking, No Smell!

Halters, Lead Ropes, Fly Sheets, Fly Masks

Wetting equipment invites bacteria to develop especially as it returns to the barn’s dusty and dirty environment.  Ozone sanitization is waterless and a very effective way to reduce and eliminate bacteria and help protect equipment from future bacteria formation.  Buying used equipment? Be safe and sanitize it first before putting it on your horse.

Boots, Girths, Saddle Pads

Since sanitizing with ozone is waterless, boots, girths, and saddle pads will not lose their shape, support, or effectiveness.

Helmets/Hats/Covers/Gloves

Ozone sanitizing is used for the most effective sports equipment available.   Professional sports associations have given their seals of approval!  Perspiration can seep deep into your riding attire and equipment causing dangerous levels of bacteria to grow leading to potentially dangerous contact with your skin.  Ozone penetrates deep into the pores of your equipment to eliminate the bacteria which in turn eliminates odor, a noticeable pleasant result.

Grooming Equipment/Training Equipment

If you are like most of us, you use the same grooming equipment and training equipment on multiple horses.  Who can really afford to buy a set of everything for each horse?  What happens if one of those horses fell ill due to a virus?  Until now, that meant you throw away/burn all of the equipment used on that ill horse.
